Building conservation

Nordmøre Museum manages a large and diverse portfolio of buildings. We also hold county-level responsibility for the preservation of buildings and vessels, and provide shared services in both areas.

The museum’s department Husasnotra carries out building work using traditional methods. This department also runs a training programme for traditional craftspeople in building and boat construction. Husasnotra undertakes both public and private commissions.
